| Alleluia |
|
This Alleluia can also be performed in a variety of musical settings, but is really meant for a youth and young-at-heart Mass. |

| Alleluia II |
|
This is a new Alleluia that's more in line with the new mass parts. Now includes flute part! |

| Eucharistic Acclamations |
7/24/2005 |
Praise God and His wonderful deeds! For the longest time, I just couldn't get the inspiration to write eucharistic acclamations. I could write tons of regular praise songs, but when it came to this important part of the Mass, I just couldn't get anything together that worked. Then God gave me the inspiration yesterday and I got the Holy, Holy, When We Eat This Bread, Amen, and Lamb of God all scored and ready to go. We performed them this past Sunday, July 24, 2005 the day I wrote them. Can't wait to do them with the entire band! |

| Glory to God |
|
I wrote this Gloria to be performed in a variety of vocal and instrumental settings. In 6/4 time, it has a bouncy rhythm, and a very easy-to-sing melody. |

| Glory to God on High |
|
Here's a new Glory that is more in line with the Eucharistic Acclamations that we use. Note that I changed it up a bit based on useful feedback from Dave Healy who mentioned that the verses were a bit complex. After a good listen, I totally agreed! Thanks, Dave! Download the MP3 to here a rough recording of how the song goes... Excuse my stuffed up nose. :) |

| Kyrie |
|
This is a simple Kyrie in Eb that I used throughout the Triduum and Easter Season this year (2004). Very singable. It's set up as an echo. |

| New Mass Parts |
|
This is a new acclamation set to be done as an alternative to our regular set. It's a little more solemn. |

| The Lord's Prayer |
10/26/2008 |
This is a version of the Lord's Prayer that I wrote. The recording is a bit different than the lyrics in that there's a repeat of "For the kingdom…" which I've taken out, and I've also added an "Amen" to the end. While the recording has a "folky" feel to it, I've written the music in such a way that it could be applied to different settings, save a High Mass. :) |

In 3. This a bit solemn, but pretty song. |

| Psalm 103: The Lord Is Kind and Merciful |
2/15/2007 |
I've been wanting to write a Psalm 103 for many years, but could never get a good tune. I guess inspiration comes when God wills it, so here it is. It's a really catchy tune, if I may say so myself. :) |

| Psalm 117: Go Out to All the World |
|
Psalm 117 is the shortest Psalm in the Bible; thus, this song has only a refrain and a single verse. But it's meant to be rocked out. Why not? :) |

|
| Psalm 118: This is the Day |
2/2/2004 |
This is a fun, jazz-bluesy-gospel psalm. I've simplified the chord structure in the notation, but a lot of the 7th chords can be played with sus2, sus4 and flat 5 to give it a more jazzy feel. |

|
| Psalm 118: This Is the Day the Lord Has Made |
3/30/2008 |
New version that's more pop/rock than the original - actually a completely different tune. |

| Psalm 122: Let Us Go Rejoicing |
|
Played as a Psalm, this is a fairly mellow song. But used as an entrance song, you can rock it up a bit. |

|
| Psalm 146: Praise the Lord, My Soul |
4/7/2006 |
This is a cool, funky psalm in Bluesy G |

| Psalm 19: Richer Than Gold |
|
This is my take on a hard rock response. This is a hard-driving piece meant to be played LOUD! Can be used as a recessional song as well, which my group has done. |

| Psalm 22: Why Have You Left Me? |
3/1/2004 |
Normally done for Passion Sunday |

| Psalm 23: I Shall Not Want |
|
Inspirational song. I wrote this for my grandmother's funeral Mass. |
Brendan Delumpa |
|
| Psalm 27: The Lord Is My Light |
|
This is slow rock responsorial psalm. It's great for showcasing a hard-strumming acoustic guitar. |
Brendan Delumpa |
|
| Psalm 34: Taste and See |
|
This is best done with acoustics and lightly-distorted electric, as has a heavy emphasis on beat. |
Brendan Delumpa |
|
| Psalm 63: My Soul Is Thirsting |
|
Responsorial with a smooth, fast tempo. Not a rockin' piece, but very nice. |
Brendan Delumpa |
|
| Psalm 71: I Will Sing of Your Salvation |
|
I originally wrote this song as an inspirational song, and actually still use it as that at times. It works well as a responsorial, though the refrain may be a bit long for some. |

| Psalm 95: If Today |

Having repeatedly performed "If Today" pieces from both Bob Hurd and Ed Bolduc, I decided to write one for the band. |

| Psalm 98: All the Ends of the Earth |
12/24/2006 |
Couldn't find a good Psalm 98 which is called for in the liturgy, so I wrote a new one. It's peppy! |

Communion Songs |
| Gathered As One Body |
4/25/2004 |
This is a newly created piece for communion. I still have a bit of "tweaking" to do with it, but for all intents and purposes, it's a complete song. |

| Our Reward (This is the Bread) |
6/10/2007 |
Slow rock song. This song can actually be used anywhere because it's also a praise song that focuses on our "oneness" because of Christ's Body and Blood. |

Praise/Inspirational |
| All That I Am |
|
Inspired by Mark 12:38-44 ~ In this section of scripture, a widow kneels at the altar and makes her offering. Jesus exclaims that the woman is greater than the scribes and pharisees because her offering is all that she has, whereas theirs is from their surplus. This song was inspired by what I thought her prayer might be. I also made a spec recording of the song. Click on the link to download it. |

|
| Blessed Be The Name |
11/1/2005 |
It's a mantra of sorts, but I decided to add more verse lines so it could be used in other areas of the Mass. |

| Children of the Light |
3/12/2005 |
Loosely based on Psalm 130 that deals with redemption in God. |

|
| Come to the Lord! |
7/22/2007 |
We've done a bunch of "Come to the Lord" types of songs in the past. This is my take on it. I wanted a song that had a lot of energy and was easy to sing. |

| Every Day! |
4/23/200 |
This is a song for all who live their life in service. |

| God Is NOW! |
|
God Is NOW is a piece inspired by the eternity of God, and how not matter whether we look to our pasts or futures, God is present among us now. 1 & 2 Corinthians both deal with the presence of God in our lives. This song uses more modern language to convey that message. |
Brendan Delumpa |

| Great God |
6/23/2007 |
This is a cool, jazz/blues piece. The challenge in this song is the arrangement for various guitars. There are essentially three parts. The base part is fairly straight-forward, bouncing between an Em7addG (root) and a B7-9. The second part is a comped Em/Bm on the 7th fret in time. And the third plays a syncopated Em/B7-9. Underneath is a cool bassline for the verses (see the chart). |

I love rock and roll. This is a song of standing fast to what you believe, and accepting the responsibility you have to God. |

| I Don't Need No Doctor |
|
This song was written by Steve Marriott back in the 70's while he was with Humble Pie; yes, the same band that spawned Peter Frampton. I've adapted the words to fit in with a Mass. Click here to go to a recording of the song. Granted, the recording's not very good, and he sings it in a voice that's in the rafters, but it'll give you an idea of how the song goes. |

| I'm a Believer |
|
Recognize the title? You got it... This song was adpated from the popular Monkees song (written by Neil Diamond), later redone by Smash Mouth for the movie trek. As the title suggests, we sing about becoming believers. |

| Love Will Set You Free |
2/5/2006 |
Saint Paul wrote "...Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love." This song is a simple song about how we wonder about the world around us and why certain things happen. It doesn't seek to explain why they do, but it does tell us where we need to focus our lives. Plus, the song rocks!!! |

I got inspired to do a song in Spanish. This is a real fun piece that we've played at Mass. Amazingly enough, people sing the spanish! Didn't know how it would be received, but it seems people like it. |

| The Way, The Truth, The Life |
8/10/2007 |
I wrote this song with a female lead in mind. It's a song of commitment to service and recognizing God's guiding light in our lives, and how He leads us out of the darkness. |

This is another service song. Light rock. |

| To You I Give (A Sonata of Faith) |
|
This is a prayerful variation on Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. For years, I wanted to use this incredibly haunting piece of music from the first movement and intertwine it into a song of praise. I've included instrumentation for a solo instrument such as a flute or oboe for now. I actually envision this piece to be performed by a full orchestra. Hopefully, I'll have some time to score all the parts. |

This has kind of a country feel, blues gospel. More on the mellow side. |

| Veni Sancte Spiritus |
5/27/2007 |
Based on Psalm 103, and while it can be used for any season, it was written for the Feast of Pentecost. It starts out with the same chant as the Taize "Veni Sancte Spiritus" a capella, then chords are added. The congregation continues to chant as the verses are sung over the chant, then everyone joins together to sing the refrain. At the end of the refrain, we return to the chant. The outro is the exact opposite of the introduction: chant with chords, then chant a capella. |

| We Are Called |
9/23/2007 |
A medium-tempo, fun song that can be used for Gathering or Prep. With this song, I tried to incorporate elements of Motown with a sort of Elvis Costello feel. It's eclectic in a way without sounding eclectic.
3/6/2008 - The recording for this is just a scrap recording so I have something to show how the tempo goes. It's a bit slower than how we actually perform it, which surprised me a bit. But for first cut, it's not bad. |
